Tolerance: Why you mad gays? (guys)

An interesting note regarding California prop 8 is that it won because of overwhelming black support (presumably voting for Obama) and hispanics. If it had been left to the white folks of California it would have failed .

The subsequent protests however have been directed at afluent white society, most notably the mormons and Saddleback church. Is this a case of misdirected anger? You'd think they'd be protesting in the barios of east LA, or Compton, Long Beach City, Hayward or Oakland, instead they protest on the steps of city hall in Palm Springs, and elsewhere? Are these unreported enclaves of minoirty groups? No.

It seems that in their political correctness they desire to be politcally correct and lash out at whites, who actually supported their cause.

Go figure...

Check out this video, of old lady, beinmg shouted down and harrased by protesters. Yeah I want your values taught to my children on the government dime.

Conversation with a Liberal

My wife has an aquaintance that she worked with for a while, who is decidely liberal. My wife recieved an email from her friend and promptly forwarded it to me with a two word introduction: "you respond"

LOL my wife is opinionated but non-confrontational. So I did here is the conversation thus far I'll add to it if she responds.

From her:

If it wasn't for Bush's failed presidency over the last eight years Americans may have never been in the place we are now to elect the first very intelligent and well spoken black president.

We don't know how the next 4 years are going to play out but, how can we not not be inspired by what has been done here and what potential we have as a nation.

I know there are some of my friends on here that supported McCain and are very unhappy right now.
Can you honestly say that an Obama presidency is going to take America in a wrong direction or make things worse than they are now?

I hate Bush with a passion and I am happy that he will be gone next year (hopefully). I am worse off financially than I was when Clinton was president and the country is trillions in debt. McCain only offered more of the same. Please list out how I am wrong don't just make a blanket statement about how McCain is awesome....I want you to tell me facts about how he could have made things better for us. If you don't already know how an Obama presidency has plans to improve our standing in the world and start getting us out of debt, then you haven't been paying attention.

Thank you!

From Me:

There are several issues which you list; I will attempt to distill them into a reasonable bullet point list so they can be addressed.

Bush’s Failed Presidency?

This has been a tired accusation in the media since he took office. Yes since he took office. It is part and parcel of the conspiracy theories around election 2000 in which Bush supposedly stole the election, then the supposed mishandling of the reaction to the 9-11, both domestically and globally. The National Debt, and a whole slew of other items that get added to the list when ever someone feels like placing blame. In a sentence; EVERYTHING BAD IS BUSH’S FAULT. The fundamental flaw with the argument is quite simple but those who hate Bush fail to see it.

We have a governmental system that generally means half of the people will be dissatisfied with the outcome of any given election, no matter what. There used to be something called the loyal opposition in this country, the principle was that “though we may disagree with your policy, you are the president and therefore command the respect of the entire nation". You will see that played about by the losing side this time as it should have been by the losing side last time. You will not see acts of treason ala John Murtha, Denis Kusinich, etc from the right. After 2000 this country became divided not because of Bush but because a bunch of whining children who didn’t get their way decided to throw a tantrum with the help of the print press and the alphabet CBSNBCABCCNNMSNBCBBC. Since they have aided in the election of a charlatan they will no doubt cover for him this time much the way they did for Clinton during his years. I would advise you to set aside your hatred and look at facts. The first being 7 years and counting with 0 attacks on the homeland, which by the way is the President’s chief role in our government; Protecting the Homeland.

Intelligent and well spoken black President?

Perhaps he is, we really don’t know do we? He certainly sounds good when he speaks, but he is reading off a teleprompter. The simple fact is when ever he goes “off-script” he is stuttering and meandering in his thought process. He can not articulate a simple answer. Nothing is black and white (if you’ll forgive the expression), right or wrong, but all shades of grey. In essence he has become president based on what he himself says; “just words, just speeches” which by the way he plagiarized from Deval Patrick’s 2006 speech. Hardly the intelligence you imply.

Inspiration?

Those of us who opposed him in the campaign are inspired. He symbolizes something fantastic; a black man who became president of the USA.I dare say that many of  his supporters were inspired because he was black, what a grand thing it is no? You all can relish your moral superiority in electing a black man. It is a shame that people can’t look beyond skin color even in 2008. President-elect Obama inspired not with the content of his character, but with the color of his skin. Martin Luther King is probably rolling over in his grave. Pay attention over the next few years, will Jesse Jackson still be around? How about Al Sharpton, Farrakhan and all the other race-baiters. How many times will president Obama be let off the hook simply because he is black?

Will Obama take us in the wrong direction?

Yes. By his own words, and his fervent supporters would know this had they paid attention. The issue though is how to define wrong direction, You would likely think that it is anything remotely resembling a Bush Policy. Others would say anything that damages the country.

Will Obama make things worse than they are now?

If President Obama does what he says in terms of fiscal and foreign policy the answer is again yes. Sadly, these are facts that a majority of American’s either don’t understand or purposely ignored. The economy is in dire straights for a very specific reason, Social engineering. If you are unfamiliar with that term it means when the government tries to impact society in a way that goes against the natural tendency of human beings. The government cannot fix what it created, but Obama thinks it can. Through increased taxation, yeah I know you are going to cite some number that occasionally changes, but his record shows much lower than he even says. You need to stop and think for a minute about how taxes actually work. Disregard at what level he says he will impose them. What happens when business pay more in taxes? How do they deal with increased cost? What happens when individuals have to pay more in taxes on their investments? Will they continue to invest? Will they seek out instruments that protect them? If Investors quit investing in business what happens? Where do businesses go first to reduce cost? (this one I’ll answer for you: jobs) How do you think prices are set? Are they a function of material cost and overhead? Or are they some random number that some greedy executive says? What’s included in overhead? Are taxes included in that? If taxes go up will price also? If price goes up will sales? If sales go down, will the business be better or worse? If worse how will they respond to that? Further the market has dropped another 700 points as of this writing and since he was elected. It will continue to do so if he insists on his polices of taxation and other economically impacting issues like environmentalism and free trade.

Foreign Policy is a game of chess not checkers and Obama has shown himself to be a good checkers player, but woefully lacking in the skills of chess. To further exacerbate the problem and highlight Obama’s fundamental lack of experience, he sought out Biden, who has been wrong on just about every issue of foreign policy since he took office, not only wrong but delusionally so. Obama’s own party has said they wish to cut the military by 25%. Economically the military is the number one purchaser of manufactured goods and services in the US. Think of the impact to the economy that such a drastic cut would have, secondly how does he propose to defend ourselves, from those that conspire to destroy this country? “Just words, just speeches”? Here again is another flaw in his judgment and intellect. The enemies of the United States do not hate us because we don’t talk to them, they don’t hate us because Bush is president, (if so why were the twin towers first attacked under Clinton’s first term), They hate us because they are fundamentally flawed religious zealots. Words will do nothing to deter them. Whether you perceive it or not this is an existential conflict. To them our existence is inspiration enough for hatred and terrorist acts, much like the Jews were to Hitler. There can be negotiation under these terms, terms which they have set, not us.

Those are just two points, there are many others I can list, but I won’t. This country is seriously in danger with Obama at the helm. I hope he ignores his rhetoric and follows the advice of those who actually are intelligent on these matters. Furthermore I’ll say right now that I hope he does well, he is the president of my beloved country, I wish him no ill and only much success, I am simply mindful that it is not likely given his positions.

Bush hatred.

It’s called Bush Derangement Syndrome (BDS) it was first described by voters in Florida after the 2000 election, since then it has become a full fledged epidemic on the leftward leaning side of the populace. Lest you think I am joking look it up. The source of the syndrome comes form an over investment emotionally in the outcome of things with which neither you nor the president can control. My side just lost to a man I think is wrong for the country, will I become obsessively hateful towards him? No. I will work to ensure that my voice is heard, that is our right. There will be no such thing as (ODS)

Gone next year (hopefully)?

Here again is an example of BDS, why the hopefully comment? Do you think some conspiracy will take place to eliminate Obama before hand? Seriously? Get a grip and be rational. The man is surrounded by secret service, who are sworn to give up their life for him. He will take his oath (though I seriously doubt he will mean a word of it) and take office just like every other president before him.

Financial Status then and now?

I am sorry to hear that you are worse off now than you were 8 years ago; there are many that are like you in our country. But there are equally as many that are better off now than 8 years ago. Why is that? Were they all rich to begin with? I can only speak for myself. I am better off than I was eight years ago, doubly so. Why is that? I do not have a wealthy family, no education beyond community college, no grants from the government, nor do I own my own business. So why are some better off than others? You may not wish to hear it or you may not want to believe it because of what it means to you personally, but the simple truth of the matter is it is individual choice and individual responsibility. Those who are better off today will be better off in four years, those who are not will not be. Why is that? Because of the choices they make about their future, I choose to make my life better for myself, you and those who have bought the “Hope and Change” mantra choose to wait for someone else to do it for you. That is yours and their choice, but don’t begrudge those who have chosen differently and become successful. You should take inspiration from them and seek out ways to improve your circumstances on your own, otherwise you will forever be dependant upon someone else. Specifically the government, Be honest for a second, name one thing the government actually does right and cheaper than private industry.

Is National Debt a concern?

You comment that the national debt has risen, there are specific reasons for that. None of which I will go into here. What I will do instead is ask you if you think Obama is concerned about the national debt. If so why has he proposed increasing spending in an amount almost double what he says he can “save”? If so why have members of his own party said, “…that deficit spending will be necessary, we can always tax the wealthy more later”? Taxing the wealthy does not make up enough of his already proposed deficits, even if he were to tax them at 100% it wouldn’t make up enough. Further taxing the wealthy, (those that actually create jobs) will cause a furtherance of this economic downturn, what happens when people lose their jobs? Businesses close? Or worse move off shore? The tax revenues go down? This again speaks to his intelligence and judgment. It is a proven fact throughout the world that taxation does not lead to prosperity. All throughout Europe countries are lowering taxes to invite business after having gone the route that Obama wants to go, now here. Is he blind to their failure or does he just not care? Either way it doesn’t speak well of him, it is as if he and his supporters (those who understand, not the those simply enamored with him) want to “experiment” with our economy and at the worst possible time. Regardless will you care about the national debt when he says he has to increase it? Will you decry him for the same things you decry Bush for? I doubt it. You will buy fully whatever he is selling, because he’s your guy.

On a side note: Though Bush was my guy, I have a decried every instance of his bad economic and social policies. They are currently functioning as I predicted, terribly. Does this make me a prophet? No. I simply have educated myself through study and observation so that I know what does and doesn’t work.

You asked to have facts I have just given you a bunch of things to consider, interspersed throughout are facts and common sense anecdotes. I have asked you specific questions in the hopes of helping you understand that you quite possibly have been duped. And if so what will your response be? Will you suddenly turn on him? Or will you blindly follow?

Good luck to you, and congratulations on your victory, (all blame from here on out can be laid nowhere save the feet of the Democratic Party and Obama)

The Message

Ok, I thought I was going to stay away, but I’m too much of an activist and I can’t help but read comments on my favorite blogs. Call me a lurker if you must but I am the good kind, gathering intel before laying out what needs to be done.

Points of order: Loyal opposition, the country has spoken and it voted against our wishes. Eight years ago the country voted and it was with our wishes. Part of being an American is understanding the nature of our politics, we made our wishes known, we lost. We will resist and show ourselves BETTER than the left in their opposition to Bush. Else wise we are no better. Reread that and think about it.

Everybody will be debating why it happened, we all knew it was a long shot to begin with. We just wouldn’t face it. Instead we clung to hope, never a bad thing, but when reality hits we have a choice. Run and hide, snivel and whine, or face it head on.

Can you guess which one I am about to suggest?

Let all the paid people figure out what happened… we know already: Mac was not a conservative, we know this. There was no real counter to liberal ideas. Period, end of story, maybe he could have won, I doubt it. The point is he didn’t and President Obama will take office in about two and a half months.

So ponder this friends, we are about to embark on a journey that will lead to beautiful vistas from high reaching mountains, and dark and lonely valleys. The battle over the country is not over its just beginning. I will not cede defeat until they arrest and silence me. Will you?

Everyone wants to know what to do now? I have previously given suggestions, yet all continue to wonder what to do, am I talking to myself? It wouldn’t be the first time.

So let me break this down for those who want to know what to do, pay attention, but don’t worry if you miss something, because I have a feeling that I will repeat this often in exhortation and encouragement.

Forget everything you hear and know, forget about various polices that might be enacted, forget about the possibilities of socialism, and focus yourself on the foundational core of what I am going to lay out right now. The rest we will address when the need arises.

FAITH-FAMILY-COUNTRY

Those three items are the three lamposts from which we can find the foundation. Any other guidance is dark and cannot guide us in the tempest that is coming. So let us begin.

There is reason I list them in that specific order, much like the way each successive Right of the Bill of Rights builds on the previous Right.

Faith is a part of the human psyche regardless of what atheists and the like would tell you. Furthermore it is uniquely part of the American experience for a large swath of our society (85% believe in God). It is absolutely unquestionable that our Founder’s understood faith and its importance in governance. (please don’t bore me in comments with “proofs” otherwise) Faith is fguiding, even beyond its immediate religious connotations. God calls everyone to become part of his family, he considers us children of his. The Christian tradition is full of examples of God as Father. It is upon this guidance that our own families are built. We find in faith a blueprint for family and life beyond.

If you pray, pray for your families, our current and next president, and our beloved country. If you don’t or don’t believe in God then don’t begrudge us our faith.

Family is the secondary lampost, but is incredibly important in the rebuilding we wish to do. It is here that we prepare the next generation, it is here that we counter the onslaught from outside, it is here that we help our children hone their skills in cognitive thinking that will allow them to discern the difference between right and wrong, truth and lie. It is here tha we give them the foundation. (more on that later)

This cannot be overstated; our children and grand children are the future of this country. If we fail to restore this nation, it will be they who reclaim it, but only if we teach them what we believe, why we believe and how to apply that knowledge to their own lives.

So from Faith tends Family, and from Family tends Country. For what is a Country but a group of various families? Every nation great and small throughout history has followed a very simple pattern.

Shared vision (faith) – family – groups of families (creating a system to govern all their doings).

So begin with your personal faith whatever that may be. Start with your family ensuring the next generation is ready to take up the mantle of liberty. From your core family move to your extended family, don’t be shy or apologetic for your beliefs, it is your right to have them and to share them as you wish. Beyond the extended family lay friends and co-workers. Beyond them your community, your state, and your nation.

“Why are you being so simplistic RB?”

Because if you can’t talk politics with your family in a civil and yet persuasive manner, you will never be able to with anyone else. There is a building process to it, and experience in formulating and defending your ideas against people for whom you care and in return care for you, is a good place to practice. It will build in you the ability to sympathize or empathize with non –family members when you reach out to them.

So now that I have, yet again, outlined how to change the country, laying out the who and the how, the next question is the what.

What is the conservative message in these times? What is the message that can and will resonate with every member of our society that is worth reaching, our children first, then our communities then our nation?

Is it lower taxes?

Is it capitalism?

Is it guns?

Is it abortion?

Is it strong national defense?

Is it trade?

Is it the deficit?

Is it family values?

What is this elusive message that conservatives seem to have lost?

Are you ready, willing, and able to not only hear it but accept it? Let it seep deep into your being and guide everything you know? Are you ready to use it as the measure by which EVERY single thing that confronts the conservative movement can be gauged?

Will you take up the mantle with me and carry this message far and wide and use it as the platform for a revolution? You have heard it before, it’s always in the long list of conservative principles, tossed in as though among equals, when it stands head and shoulders above the rest. In fact it is from this singular principle that all other conservative ideas, notions, and values flow.

Dear reader it is the answer, the counter to every single issue of society, it has been right before our eyes and we failed to see it, instead getting lost in the mire of hot topic issues, like immigration, abortion, gun rights, taxes etc.

To every assault there is a counter measure, battles are won by discovering and using effectively the right counter measure. Here it is.

Individual Responsibility.

Teach it to your kids, explain it to your neighbors, make sure our political representatives understand and have adopted it in their own lives and will govern by it. Think about it readers. Contemplate it for a second or two or sixty. The message of the conservative movement needs to be Individual Responsibility.

Some examples:

Socialism? Individual responsibility, what is socialism if not collective responsibility?

Abortion? Individual responsibility; of those who engage in behaviors known to create babies.

Immigration? Individual responsibility; of those who would come to this nation.

Taxes? Individual responsibility; of citizens to pay, and individual responsibility of members of congress to use it properly.

Crime? Individual responsibility; of those who commit the crimes.

Have I made myself clear yet? This is a simple message that will resonate with people of all hyphenated types. From it's foundation can be built the framework that explains and expands all other conservative ideas and ideals.

Do you want to make a difference? Don’t forget to preach and teach Individual Responsibility.

Freedom In Exile

Well its about 7:20 PST, Fox is calling PA and OH and.... for Obama.

Looks like flag will be upside down and at half mast begining tomorrow. I don't think there is any chance at this point for those states to suddenly reverse, so that's it. Now begins the hard work in a hostile climate.

I am going dark for a few days, to contemplate a few things of critical import to my family based on the possibilities of how an Obama presidency will turn out. I am no alarmist but I advise all to consider the well being of their families in terms of the finacial mayhem that could ensue following the inauguration of "The One". Taxes are but a small portion of it. I also recomen reading my post on captialism.

I myself will be reevaluating several of my financial priorities, in an attempt to place my family in a better position to weather the finacial storm coming. I suspect the Dow will free fall for the next couple days.

On the personal safety side. It has become a fact that presidents are tried early in hteir first term. Clinton, Bush, and probably Obama. Now is the time to prepare for an emergency. While no one can predict the scope, magnitude and target, it is always best to prepared. I have know this since a child as I live in an earthquake prone area.

Aside from that be of good cheer, all is not lost. We need simply brace ourselves and prepare. There are subtle signs of hope if you care to see them. I'll list a few here.
Overreaching: If Obama tries to overreach there will be a backlash.
Populace: 34% right, 44% middle, 22% left. He will likely govern center left for the reelection in four years.
2 years and counting to till the next election.

For those of my readers that care to ever reach me directly I have created an email in the unlikely event that this site someday goes down. I know a bit of an alarmist but there are several of you that I have come to consider as compatriots and enjoy your thoughts. feel free to email at arightbrainer@yahoo.com

Harry Reid is talking about the supposed mandate that they have won. to that I say $&%^$&%$##&%*&%*%*%(*%^!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congationaltions to the first Black Socialist to achive the office of POTUS.

On that note be back soon, take care.

Some thoughts on election eve

I find myself pondering the inexplicable. (forgive my typos as I'm not writing in Word and am jsut free forming).

Inexplicable #1: The Republic is on the verge of voting a radical into office (see all the crazy stuff out there about him suppresed by the media)

Why? How does this happen? Have we truly moved that far away from the foundations laid down by our founders? I suppose we have as attention spans have shortened, MTV and Vido games an 24/7 cable "news" have advanced our cosiety into the information age. I feel like my generation was the last genration taught freedom before the end.

I watch this guy, and listen to what he says, and it is nothing, inspiring but built on air and nothing more. I can't get over it. Why? Because I don't consider myself any smarter than the average person. If I can see it why can't others? Am I blind and delusional? Are they right? This guy is not evil incarnate and will be moderate and govern from the middle. Perhaps thats what we need right now, but I can't shake the feeling that he is everything he says he is in unguarded moments. Should I list them? Have we not seen them all already?

What does it say when real Americans sit around the kitchen table and disucuss the potential of armed rebellion? Have we all lost our minds, or  are the dangers real and present? I want to believe that it is the drumming up of fervor to get out the vote, but I can't escape the man's own words. the radicalism in his tutors the insanity of his blatant disregard for the constitution. It all adds up. I feeel as though I am the guy in his basement writing about the reptilian alien Iluminatti taking over the world through globalism.

The barrage of media most of which is my own fault. Serves to make me seriously wonder about the possibility of the semi-silent take over of the USA by a radical. I fear for my family's future and honestly wonder what world my beautiful 6 mo old twins will grow up in.

But then that's feeling. Did  you hear me? Feeling. Conservatives don't go off feeling, we go off facts, but facts often evoke emotional response, sometimes rational and other completely irrational. My mind struggles with my gut about the reality of the situation and the potential for harm and response.

Inexplicable # 2: I think there is something strange going on. I think there is an unreported undercurrent of discotent that does not lead me to the conclusions that some have reached. I take what I know of the electorate and examine it in objectivity.

We are deeply divided in this country, and most people would agree with me. But they stop and leave it at that. Some of us think there is a right and a left, or if we don't think that we suspect that it all boils down to that and I think thats false. There are so many variations of the "Right" some pulling in one direction, others pulling in another. But in the end each distinct group is made up of people with various agenda's myself included. The"Left" is no more solid in its coallitions, deeply fragmented and strugling for control. Somwhere inbetween are folks that just want lives to be better.

I have spoken to Republicans voting Democrat, third party, party line, and abstaining altogether. There is a similar wave of discontent on the "Left" Democrats voting, republican, third party, abstaining or party line. There is an electoral revolution at hand and it doesn't breakdown along party lines. I think it breaks down along the lines of (to coin a new phrase) "bi-partisan or multipartisan similarities of ideolgy" wherein voters of all brands are bucking the system. I suppose it would be too much to hope fore to think that all were in agreement  on some specific issue that we could agree on, but I fail to see that coming to fruition. Rather I see this as more an affiliation of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend".

As such this evolution of the electorate is mind boggling. First in its mind boggling capacity to obliterate the paradigm of conventional thinking regarding Polls, and electoral analysis. Consider if you will for me the following:

If Obama wins, he as seduced the far left, moderate dems, a handfull of Republicans, and who knows what else to vote for him. At the same time the conflux of conservativism has produced a very moderate candidate that is/was/may be struggling to retain his base, while losing off some hard liners to third party candidates. what does that mean in terms of how he governs, will he be beholden to the left, will he be fearful of the other half of the country that didn't vote for him?

If Mac wins he has done it by the oddest coaliton of electorate I have surely seen. Republican moderates, Blue dog democrats, disgruntled Hillary voters, conservatives and who knows what else.

What does that mean to how he will govern?

It is true no president pleases everyone. but how can these two please anyone?

Moreover, how can any of the "statistics" we are seeing ( huge leads, closing anything!) be reliable when there is absolutely no historical data of such a mixing of political groups? Further add to it race, intentional chaos, created by "Operation Chaos" and "Puma" voters. Numbers you see are just a break down of of party affiliation and this time that doesn't mean as much as it used to.

So  a word of caution to my readers, believe nothing till its over, somwhere between reason and fear is reality.

There is a proposal circulating around that should Obama win all patriots should fly their flags at half mast or upside down or both. I will as a way of silent protest for the length of his administration. Perhaps it will serv, if others join in, that we will not go quietly into the dark night with him. and deter his abandonment of constitutional rule.

Should Mac win I intend to fly it high and proud for the length of his administration. as a reminder of how close we came.

I think I will even display and sticker in the window of my car that is displayed as outlined above. More people to see and maybe a few to ask why, if its upsid down.

To all patriots on this eve, I simply say this: When Bush won many on the liberal left said "He is not my President". While they may have felt and believed that, he was, in fact, Constituitonally elected, and his oath to uphold the Constitution was honored. If Obama is elected, he has no allegiance from me "he is not my President" not because I am a whining fanatic that didn't get his way, but because by his own admission he will  forgoe his oath and fail to uphold the Constitution of this Republic.

Having said all this I offer a simple prayer:

"Not our will, but thine Lord"
